To be honest, I haven’t even thought about new years resolutions and whether I should or shouldn’t be making any this year. If I’m being honest with myself, I probably wouldn’t stick to a long list of changes. I feel like I do my best 90% of the time so I’ll keep going the way that I’m going hope for the best.
I do love myself a good list though, so instead of a list of restrictions or promises, I’m going to make a list of plans that I’ll try and stick to over the next year. Below are some of the ideas I have. Let me know if you have anything similar!
I’m going to enjoy my food, go for drinks with my friends when we decide to, travel more, try and be a little more spontaneous (this is something I am terrible at) and just make the most of every day. You never know what is around the corner and that should be the thing that puts a fire under you to make plans and take a hold of your life.
5 things you want to achieve
I’ve made a list of 5 goals I have for myself this year. I can’t wait to see if these are achievable, and if they are then I know I will feel so proud of myself. Goals are such brilliant ways to see how far you have come and then reward yourself afterwards. I touched on this in my previous post this week.
Do a 30 day challenge
I mentioned over on my Snapchat (niamhos21) on January 1st that I was going to try and do at least 31 minutes of exercise for the 31 days of January. This is just a personal challenge that I’m doing for myself, but I would definitely love to do another one in a month or two. Maybe the 30 day squat challenge, or 30 days or clean eating… We’ll see! 🙂
Revamp a part of your life
I love this idea. I’m not going to try and do a whole life overhaul, because that is just unrealistic on every level. But maybe I’ll revamp my wardrobe, or my bedroom, or my eating habits at some point over the next few weeks. I definitely don’t feel as organized as I would like to these days so I think something like this would be as much therapeutic as it would be a relief.
I love the idea of bucket lists. So much so, that I have a separate post coming up tomorrow talking all about the different kinds of ones that I have set for myself. (Yes there are multiple bucket lists!) So stay tuned for that!
I hope everyone’s Wednesday is going well!
