Hi everyone! I hope that you are all having a great week so far. Summer has finally landed in New York and it has me 50% excited and 50% terrified for the hot weather and humidity that’s ahead of us.
Myself and the girls made our second set of summer plans as of yesterday. We booked a weekend in the Hamptons for the start of June and I am SO excited! Our first priority was a couple of weeks ago when we booked Chicago for 4th of July weekend, so it’s all go! I’ll be living like a hermit in between all these trips to try and save up for them…fun times!
Today’s post is part blog post and part Youtube video. I wanted to show you all of the great restaurants around my neighborhood, literally! I thought that a YouTube video would be a great way to do this and making this video was so fun! Slightly stressful since New York is overflowing with people and if you’re in any way awkward in front of the camera it really shows. So I had to suck up my awkwardness and just get on with it. I’m glad that I did though because I’m delighted with how it turned out.
This is definitely the type of video that I love to watch so I hope you do too! I love how you literally can feel like you are walking through the streets of Manhattan as you watch it. I really, really hope you enjoy it!
Also, if you haven’t already, I would be so thrilled if you could make sure that you are subscribed to my channel. I was on the phone to my Mum this morning and she asked me why I hadn’t uploaded in ages…I reminded her that she told me she had subscribed and that if she actually did then she would have gotten an email from YouTube with a link to the video. Caught rotten haha! But it is a great way to make sure you never miss an upload and it really supports my channel too if more people are subscribed, so I would be very appreciative if you could! 🙂
A few of the places I included in the video are: Cask, Birch Coffee, Ruby’s Cafe, Banc Cafe, Vino Tapa, The Gem Saloon, and Street Taco. They’re all my favorites in the area and I talk about about each of them in the video so you’ll have to watch to see which one you’re going to visit first 😉
I would love to know what you think of the video and if you would like to see more like it, or maybe something different?
Anyway, this was just a very quick update, but thank you for stopping by and for checking out my tour of my neighbourhood!
